Job Description

    Job Title: Civil EngineerContract: FreelancerLocation: RemotePosition Overview Civil engineer experienced in land development projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 to 10 years of experience and be proficient in using Autodesk Civil 3D and other relevant software for designing roads, sanitary sewer systems, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and earthwork grading designs. Although the work will be on projects in the USA, proficiency must be demonstrated through professional licensing in India or other suitable jurisdictions, highlighting the engineers expertise and commitment to professional standards. All work will be done under the supervision of a licensed engineer in the US.Key Responsibilities Design and develop plans for roads, sanitary sewer systems, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and grading using Autodesk Civil 3D. Design and draft plan and plan/profile drawings.Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field.
    • English fluency and excellent communication skills.
    • Engineering licensure in India as chartered engineer per the IEI. (Licensing per other jurisdictions may be considered.)
    • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in land development-related civil engineering.
    • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including with surface creation and editing, corridor modeling, feature lines and grading, and pipe networks.
    • Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles. Experience with hydraulic/hydrology software and modeling is desired but not required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Evaluation Process The hiring process will involve an assessment of English fluency as well as design and drafting abilities in Civil 3D. It will also include evaluation of general engineering and design knowledge and practices.
