Job Description

    Contract Reviewer - Law graduate with proficient in Japanese Languages. Must be able to review, negotiate and draft Japanese contracts.Role of Contract SpecialistA contract specialist is responsible for every phase of contract development from researching to negotiating the terms and preparing the final document. Ideal contract specialists should enjoy drafting and editing contracts, demonstrating excellent attention to detail abilities. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract agreements, and legal terminology.- Responsibilities for Contract Specialist- Negotiate contract agreements for products and services.- Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and a knowledge of a clients needs and ability to fulfil its requirements- Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner.- Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives.- Research regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.- Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements written in language that is legally binding and in accordance with the set protocols- Assist to fulfil the terms of or to terminate contracts on mutually amicable terms- Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable central and state regulations- Clearly explain contract terminology to clients and other interested parties in simple, everyday language- Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner- Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency, according to a style guide if provided by the client- Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations- Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts.- Team management- Project management- Strong knowledge of contract management tools, technology and best practices- Strong reporting skills including use of MS Excel and PPT- Qualifications for Contract Specialist- 3+ years of legal contracting experience- Possess a bachelors or masters degree in law- Proficiency in Japanese language is mandatory- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.- Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.- Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting- Ability to identify, analyse, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints, and client concerns- Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations- Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously- Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the clients best interests,
