Initiate and execute various projects designed to encourage companies and the general public to treat animals more humanelyDecide on and maintain effective contacts with relevant people in companies in order to further PETA s workConduct research concerning corporate positions on animal-welfare issuesDevelop , manage , and execute campaign plans and agendasBrainstorm new and creative ways to work with companies in order to advocate for animal-protection issues and to advance campaignsWork closely with various PETA teams , including those dealing with campaigns , the media , celebrities , and online marketingCommunicate with executives of corporations via letters , phone calls , and meetingsPrepare and deliver presentations to company executives in order to make the case for animal-welfare changesRepresent PETA to the media , upon request , and to the general publicAttend meetings in order to brainstorm and develop strategiesTravel when necessary to attend meetings or other required engagementsPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisorQualifications: Degree in a related fieldMinimum of two years of relevant experienceThorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaignsDemonstrated ability to create and deliver effective presentations , address and overcome objections , and negotiate and close dealsProven ability to work creatively and generate new strategies and ideasAbility to exercise independent judgementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to organise and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to interact and communicate with a variety of people in a professional mannerAbility to represent the organisation to the public in a professional mannerAbility to handle confidential information with discretionAbility and willingness to travelProfessional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyleSupport for PETA s philosophy and the ability to advocate for PETA s positions on issues professionally,
