The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon with the compute, network and datacenter capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business.The Portfolio and Asset Management (PAM) team is looking for a talented, experienced Cost Manager based in our Mumbai corporate office. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Head of PAM in APJC. This role requires someone who has a strategic business mindset and can do attitude; who thrives in an international, dynamic environment; and easily partners successfully with a wide group of diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.The ideal candidate will lead and drive a team responsible for creating and maintaining all colocation or real estate lease administration payment functions to support the existing and expanding data center portfolio throughout APJC. In addition, the Cost Manager provides analysis and reporting to inform and accelerate business decisions. They act as a central escalation point for payment related requests, issues and challenges. They continuously monitor and assess payment processes to identify and implemented opportunities to increase efficiency. Lastly, they can work independently and possess a high level of competence in performing a range of portfolio management responsibilities in an extremely fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.Key job responsibilities Develop, lead and drive a team of Cost Analysts who ingest and manage rent invoices for colocation and data center locations into the lease database tool (Tango) Drive the team to ensure all contract obligations are being met on time, specifically payments to data center and colocation providers Track and report key lease metrics, and obligations Coordinate, track and provide support to the business development and leadership team through data trends within the existing portfolio Drive process creation, implementation and improvements Manage the payment management database (Tango) and partner with different business lines to drive technical improvements Partner with key stakeholders across APJC and globally to remove blockers to accurate and timely payments Manage communication with third-party vendors relating to payments, Bachelor s degree in accounting, business, commerce, finance or relevant discipline from an accredited university or a combination of relevant education and experience At least 5+ years of experience in portfolio/contract management or lease administration in an office, industrial, commercial, and/or data center real estate environment At least 2+ years of experience managing a payments team/function Experience managing large projects and international teams Experience in utilizing commercial real estate software platforms Experience in processing rent charges and/or monthly rent rolls Experience managing internal stakeholder relationships and working successfully across organizations and different cultures to deliver results requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple teams Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership teams Master s degree in accounting, business, commerce, finance or relevant discipline from an accredited university At least 7+ years of experience in colocation or real estate portfolio management or operations Proven track record of establishing payment processes, workflows, standard procedures and change management Experience with Tango and/or Oracle and/or current accounting standards (GAAP)
