Job Description

    Job Purpose:The Administrator will be responsible for CSBs server Solaris / Linux & Storage Infra. Automate patching, Hardening, VAPT via Ansible Automation tool and maintain the Unix infra.The Administrator will be responsible for overseeing, tracking, and scheduling all server patching efforts in CSB Data Center. Responsibilities will include the design, deployment, and troubleshooting.Functional Responsibilities:Solaris/Linux Server & Storage Administration Installing and configuring Solaris 11 and maintain file system management, user management, patching, multipath, NTP, hardening and resource administration. ZFS and LVM file system management. Oracle Cluster 4.X management, patching and trouble shooting. Installing and managing Solaris LDOM (IO domain / guest domain & SRIOV Functions). Installing and managing Solaris Kernel zone Installing and configuring RHEL7/8, Ubuntu and CentOS Asset management. Oracle and RHEL License management. New project implementations by coordinating with business team, application team and vendors Managing hardware and managed services vendors SOC Integration & Deep security Agent installation and managing with clients Managing SAN and NAS storages Storage RAID configuration, pool configuration Encryption compression and deduplication. Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and fiber switches. Administrating Brocade & Cisco SAN switches Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes Manage snapshot as well as recovery methods for storage volumes. Execute across-site replication of significant DR data. Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements. Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs. Maintain threshold and enable notification alert for hardware devices. Ensures overall service levels for server uptimes through patch management standards, enterprise images and driver packages. Analyzes trend data to identify potential patch related issues on various images and assists teams in troubleshooting to implement any resolutions/improvements needed for proactive resolution. Communicates patch management process and procedures, working practices, and changes to internal teams and customers. Maintain Repository server for Solaris Linux and Oracle Cluster Develops Ansible runbook to automate scripts and programs to streamline manual patch operations. To Fix of Vulnerabilities raised during security audit Raise CRs, SRs and capture Incidents Performance monitor for server and storage and fine tune the resource optimization.Competencies required for role:Minimum 3 year experience in Solaris Linux and storage administration
