Job Description

Customer Technical Advocate, Nuage SDWAN
  1. Location
Mumbai, India
  1. Information about the function
This position is part of Nuage Customer engineering & Technical Support team, within ION_IP Routing business unit. This team is responsible for end-to-end solution implementation & management of SDN (WAN & DC) along with post deployment technical support escalation management & network optimization.
  1. Experience
  1. 12-15 years of relevant experience in Data networking IP/MPLS and SDWAN.
  2. Strong technical support exposure & customer management skills
  3. 5 or more years experience in a role requiring designing, Implementing, and troubleshooting of IP Routing technologies and networking protocols
  4. 5 or more years experience in designing & implementing Servers / Storage / Virtualized Networks in a decent sized Datacenter
  5. Industry leading certifications like CCIE, JNCIE, ASRA, would be a plus
  1. Essentials for the Role
Required Skills Technical
  1. Strong proficiency in networking protocol and device architectures (Routers, switches, virtual switches, network devices like load balancer, NAT, firewall, Proxy etc)
  2. Working exposure on Enterprise networks running SDWAN solution
  3. Strong exposure to IP/MPLS deployment OSPF, BGP EVPN, LDP/RSVP-TE, L2/L3 VPN
  4. Hands-on experience in virtualization environments including KVM/QEMU
  5. Working knowledge of Open vSwitch (OVS), OVSDB, OpenFlow, and networking tunneling protocols like VxLAN
  6. Experience with SDN controllers (e.g. OpenDaylight)
  7. Good understanding of modern Intel platform architecture and platform advancements in CPU micro-architecture, cache and memory, IO and virtualization, etc. Required Skills Other
  1. Act as Technical liaison to the customer for proactive technical support - Synchronize and communicate between Technical Support teams and customer. Ensure proper customer follow-up and escalation
  2. Clear understanding of technology, customer network architecture, customer installed base and network performance
  3. Monitor/Track critical issues and ensure they are being addressed/worked
  4. Coordinate investigations and technical solutions, as required, across multiple internal teams.
  5. Act as Outage Manager during outages and advocate for customer
  6. Assist on complex issues resolution, supporting e2e technical support teams with the detailed network knowledge, impact of the problem, customer perception, etc
  7. Keep customer informed of features and product changes and provide software upgrade support as needed
  8. Self-Motivated Individual with positive (Must-win) attitude and ready to take up challenges.
  9. Must be ready to walk the extra mile to earn customer confidence and exceed client expectations
  10. Must possess good communication/interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
