Job Description

  • Job Purpose (In a brief, specify one or two-sentence statement, answer the questions: Why does this position exist and What is it expected to accomplish )To ensure all clearing cheques received from customers are scanned and batches prepared as per RBI guidelines.To collect and deliver P2F instruments pertaining to DBS Bank from / to the clearing house.To ensure Clearing, Cash & PSGL accounts are reconciled on a daily basis.Process all Branch related operational transactionsProcess transactions accurately on Finacle/PSGL/Finnaxia and all other systemsBe updated with Bank/branchs document for Business Continuity Plan and be prepared to handle transactions in the event of business disaster.To be an effective backup within the departmentHandling transactions in line with regulatory and internal guidelines and to meet the expectations of internal and external clients.Handling & resolving queries raised by internal and external customers. Key Accountabilities (List the expected end results or KPIs that the incumbent is expected to achieve for this job. Do not list more than 5)Compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines and policies relevant to T&O.Ensure smooth functioning of the branch by processing activities relating to Customer Service & Payments & Branch operations & FCY Remittances and Adherence to agreed TATs with business thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.To maintain an efficient, knowledgeable and professional approach and expertise in your domain. Process and Product improvement and initiatives to be taken through and ensuring zero errors.Maintain filing and documents maintenance as per filing process and quality initiatives taken at branch level.Ensuring reconciliation of all office accounts and operation related entries on daily basisAny other activity allotted by the Manager from time to time. Job Duties & responsibilities

Use concise statements that provide a clear understanding of the level of responsibility, complexity, creativity and analysis performed in this position.)Handling cash transactions, cash balancing, cash sorting and bundling. Maintaining of cash transaction of over INR 5 lakhs in registerIssuance, liquidation, cancellation of DDs and Cashiers ordersMaintain good working relationship with NPCI personnel & clearing representatives of other banks.
    • Collection & processing of clearing instruments as per laid down timelines.
    To check account opening documentation and scan documents to Mumbai for processing. Relevant follow up, Control and monitoring for account number/deliverables as per TAT.To accept all customer instructions and send to Mumbai/Chennai (for centralized activities) or action the same locally (for non-centralized activities). Relevant follow up for deliverables etc., as per TAT to be doneRTGS / NEFT and recon of the sameGeneration and filing of EOD reports.Outstation/FCY cheques processingManagement of vendor payments and staff reimbursements through PSGL systemTo ensure regulatory reporting of the transactions within the set time lines.Voucher reconciliation on daily basis.Effective monitoring to be done on outsourced personnel and ensure adherence of process and controls by them.To ensure that all bank records are checked, bound and archived as per existing guidelines.
