We are seeking an outstanding data acquisition analyst to join our Data and Technology team in the Mumbai office. The Data and Technology team owns all data (across Equity, Fixed Income and ESG Asset classes) that power MSCI s products across Index, Analytics and ESG products. As part of a global team the candidate will need to develop productive working relationships with a geographically distributed team.
Analyze documents, find patterns and convert them to rules and regular expressions to extract data.
Implement business rules / validation checks in GUI tools to extract data and improve the operational efficiency of the business.
Deliver new functionality for the internal production platform and the client delivery platform for the Business.
Closely collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Data Operation and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Experience writing functions / macros in at least 1 programming language.
Familiarity with Agile development methodology Kanban/Scrum, etc.
Good Communication skills required for working as part of a geographically distributed software development team.
Desired Experience
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
