Job Description

    *Role Responsibilities Strategy Awareness and understanding of the Group s business strategy and model appropriate to the role Business Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates. Experience with one or more risk types across CFCC remit is a plus (FCC, Conduct, Privacy, etc.) Processes
    • Drive the development and maintenance of required project documentation including: business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications and test plans
    • Ensure timely responses to requests for information from various internal sources
    • Prepare reports and presentations for senior managers and other key stakeholders
    • Create test plans and perform testing around Change Requests and enhancements to the various transaction surveillance source systems.
    • Update and maintain an inventory of test scripts developed for each project release to ensure alignment with the current system functionality.
    • Effectively and efficiently operate in a deadline driven environment in order to meet the live-to-market dates.
    • Assist with the extract and analysis of data as it relates to transaction monitoring and screening
    • Document the use of data types and overall business processes from sources contained in the FCC data warehouse.
    • Suggest and implement process improvement and data collection opportunities
    • Identification, analysis, reporting and tracking of application defects found during testing and/or data extraction.
    • Communicate and coordinate verbally and in writing to project team members and key stakeholders.
    Risk Management Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.Governance
    • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
    • Deliver effective governance ; challenge fellow executives effectively; and work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

    Our Ideal Candidate
    • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience
    • Solid experience in SQL and Python (additional scripting/statistical programming languages are welcome)
    • Understanding of Big Data architecture and knowledge of Spark
    • Applied experience with machine learning on large data sets
    • Hands-on knowledge in and passionate about statistical, time-series, and predictive modelling, as well as NLP, machine learning, forecasting and optimization
    • Understanding of various statistical data analysis techniques such as multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods
    • Abilities to translate business questions into analytical solutions (pipelines/dashboard for analytics and Machine Learning models/algorithms) and to select the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem
    • Being delivery oriented
    • Team player, working well with others and willing to share the knowledge
