Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data entry and carry out analyses of all key data sets with the objective of providing operational and impact related insights to the leadership team Advise on data management for specific interventions and observational studies
  • Lead and implement the statistical aspects of designing research studies and provide inputs into grants and proposals
  • Lead the preparation and publication of results and findings coming out of research studies
  • Manage documentation and records related research projects
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to conduct advanced research to deepen understanding of Ummeed s impact and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of policies and systems relevant to the data management team
  • Attend and contribute to stakeholders meetings, and other meetings as needed

    • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Masters Doctoral qualifications in Statistics or any other relevant degree
    • Three to five years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation Research or Analytics sector

      • Essential Skills Required:

      • Knowledge of qualitative research or mixed methods
      • Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to use the available statistical functions
      • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and in a multicultural environment, as well as independently
      • Proven written and oral communication skills in English

        • Preferred candidates would have:

        • Experience of working independently as a statistician, including the analysis of large and complex datasets within research projects, including randomized controlled trials
        • Comprehensive knowledge of a statistical software package such as Stata or SPSS
