Job Description

As the Data Analytics Manager , you will help project managers and in turn clients make use of the data that the research throws up. You will be expected to create compelling presentations that summarise the research data findings, and you will be expected to derive trends and share recommendations on the basis of the data derived from the research. What you will do:

  • Interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques i.e. derive insights from data analysis
  • Communicating research results through the creation of structured end-products (memos, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, etc.)
  • Identifying opportunities, gaps and solutions from the data
  • Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Driving strategic use of data
  • Filtering and cleaning data by reviewing technology driven reports to locate and correct problems
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities

  • Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyse it to find conclusions.
  • Communication Skills: Data analysts are often called to present their findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
  • Critical Thinking: Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
  • Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Data analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions.
  • Math Skills: Data analysts need math skills to estimate numerical data.
  • Excel Skills: Should be good in excel, advanced excel, all the formulas.
  • Presentation Skills: Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Team Work: Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience as data analyst
