Another option can be at Oracle or Teradata in a database engineering or consulting role.ResponsibilityDesign and enforce a data management architecture across all areas, including influencing peers.Mentor and development database developers.Act as the steward for data governance and set the foundation to ensure readiness for growing compliance needs, deploying increasingly advanced predictive analytics and machine learning, and for model based proprietary trading.Ensure customers and risk managers can make fast and strong decisions based on immediate access to high quality data and analytics.Drive financial results for Us by making our clients successful, and which enables opportunity for our people.MetricsManaged at least 8 people for at least 3 years.Evidence of new invention, innovation, or achieving competitive edge through technology.TechnologyMastery of SQL Server in high volume environments including transaction processing, OLAP with SSAS, ETL with SSIS, and at least exposure to reporting with SSRS.Understanding of at least one other database, such asExposure to applying analytics to high volumes of streaming data.Experience applying, or at a minimum understanding concepts, with NoSQL such as Hadoop, Cassandra, or Voldemort.Understand the relationship of infrastructure to software performance, and able to guide infrastructure decisions to achieve high degrees of scalability with low latency.Strongly prefer MCDBA or MCSE certifications, and equivalents for other databases, currently or earlier in their career.ProcessShould have exposure to agile processes, and how the relate to databases.Domain expertiseAttributesEducational background should include a quantitative degree from a competitive school.
