Position Description: A successful candidate will have the experience and qualifications to evolve the strategic data in motion infrastructure that will evolve the enterprise data warehouse leveraging Big Data technologies and modern data loading, manangement and transformation techniques. The data infrastructure engineer will help to evolve the existing core ETL infrastructure into an Agile friendly development environment that utilizes dev-ops and continuous build and integration principles. This position requires strong technical skills that includes object oriented development techniques using Java, Python and/or Perl. The candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency utilizing Big Data technology as well as show the capacity to learn and adapt to new methodologies and tools. There are multiple roles open with the range of experience mentioned below., *Job Responsibilities Liaise with technical leaders and feature teams across finance technology to develop the target state architecture and the data processing requirements - Develop technical solutions, define timelines and drive concepts to implementation for loading, enriching, securing and manipulating data for use in the Finance Data Warehouse and other target data containers. Optimize solutions for performance. - Partner with the delivery teams to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications. Create technical designs, implementation plans, identify project risks and resource requirements - Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals. Consider industry offerings, open source communities and standard practices for delivery the ETL infrastructure - Develop DevOps practice with continuous integration techniques to raise release quality and increase speed of release cadence Roles: Data Infrastructure Engineer Experience Level: 4-6 Years 4+ years of professional experience in application development with Java, Python or Perl - proficient in the object oriented programing concept and design patterns - 2+ years of experience in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop or others - experience of development on Unix/Linux platform - familiar with Unix shell and shell scripting (any of ksh, bash, tcsh, zsh) - familiar with concept of continues build and unit testing - familiar with SDLC process - Experience working within an Agile environment and with Agile tools. Large scale Agile project experience a plus - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent Skill Desired: - Object Oriented programming concept and design patterns - Big Data technologies experience such as Spark, Hadoop or others - Knowledge of ETL technologies such as Talend, Kylo, Informatica Big Data edition and/or other related products - Knowledge of Data Security, Data Masking and Data Encryption techniques a plus - Agile development practices ETL/Database Developer Experience Level: 2 6 yearsDatabase: Experience in Database development. Teradata experience preferred. ETL Tools: Experience in industry standard ETL tools (Informatica/Datastage) Data warehousing concepts :Must have good understanding of DW and ETL concepts Database: Hands on experience with SQL/PL-SQL, DB design, stored procedures index. Teradata experience preferred. UNIX experience: Basic understanding of UNIX and shell commands is required, Shell scripting and PERL experience is a plus. Job scheduler tools: Auto Sys experience but any scheduling tool experience could suffice Database/Scripting: This role is for an experienced database developer for the Mumbai Regulatory team.Implement critical regulatory changes to existing capital calculations on the Regulus platform. Help in the migration of functionality to our strategic platform (RODS) and the decommission of our legacy platform Respond to data changes from our data providers and hygiene issues. Support environment preparation in UAT and downstream integration testing. Support non-prod environments. Answer Adhoc queries for Users, Audit etc. Experience Level: 2-6 Years Hands on experience with SQL/PL-SQL, DB design, stored procedures index. DB2 experience preferred. Good experience in data modeling. Preferably in both OLTP and Datawarehouse Understanding of UNIX and shell commands is required, Shell scripting and PERL experience is a plus. Auto Sys experience but any scheduling tool experience could suffice Exposure to BFSI and finance industry preferred. Kowledge of Java and Python is a plus.
