Job Description

    The WADU Testing team is fundamental to its success. The team s role is to ensure the accuracy of data and performance of WADU UI. We understand the critical need to represent these numbers with integrity and confidence to tell an unbiased story. We value thought leadership, creativity, and logical thinking. Most of all we value team membership.The WADU testing team will be responsible for the end to end data journey, from testing the timeliness of new data feeds, data quality assurance and constantly coming up with creative solutions to streamline and improve at every step. We also are critical in determining the useability of data and how it relates to client driven user cases.The Data team within the Utility is looking for an energetic and driven Testing resource to join an exciting new opportunity. The person should have a career objective to grow as a Data analyst and besides performing testing activities (s)he should be also be involved in Data Analysis. We need people who can think outside the box, are diligent and curious; and want to get it right. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
    • Provides input to the UAT Test Strategy / Plan
    • Work closely with operations subject matter experts, business analysts, project manager and other stakeholders in production of test plan/strategies
    • Co-ordinate test execution (wherever designated) across project work streams
    • Supporting daily ingestion of data.
    • Perform testing of designated applications as per the test strategy and plan designed by Test lead
    • A key element will be partnership with the Technology. Insights and Data teams to support UAT delivery.
    • Perform Data Management or Insights generation tasks as and when need arises.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivery of regular test phases.
    Skills Required:
    • Self-starter with ability to manage own workload and deliverables.
    • 4+ years in a Testing related role, or in a Data/Change/Transformation role.
    • A passion for Software Testing ,data, data skills, BIG Data and data tools.
    • Team player.
    • Expertise in working with data to query, be curious with data and have a sensible regard around data accuracy. Data interrogation and Quality checking.
    • Bachelor Degree in Computer science and related fields OR Commerce/MBA in Finance or related fields from a reputed university.
    • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to structure and scope complex problems; team-oriented nature with clear ownership mentality.
    • Strong problem-solving aptitude, very strong analytical skills and idea generation, with the ability to go from conceptualization to execution. Curious.
    • Strong inter-personal skills with ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders including technology partners.
    • Excellent oral and written executive-level communication and presentation skills.
    • Effective organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across multiple aspects of the organization at all levels; confidence in communicating with management.
