Job Description

Overview :

This person will be a key member of the ISS Data Development team and will be focused on building out modules of our next generation Data framework focusing on our Vendor data. This person will need to be self-motivated, a quick learner and be able to build out highly scalable, and well-engineered data processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of high-quality database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Working on a variety of processes that will manipulate very large amounts of data.
  • Study current systems, understand underlying data architecture, flow and processes and help redesign and refactor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams
  • Willingness to learn and work on different technologies and tools in addition to SQL if required for the project.
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of real industry experience
  • Expert level in Microsoft SQL Server programming
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft SQL Server Services and Administration
  • Intermediate level in Data Modelling and Data Architecture
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with Capital markets and Mutual funds industry/data.

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with data provided by data vendors such as Factset, SP Capital IQ, SP Compustat, Lipper, Morningstar, Thomson Reuters or Bloomberg will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with NoSQL/BigData frameworks like ElasticSearch, Hazelcast or Redis
  • Programming skills in Java or Python
