Job Description

  • Handle and respond to level-2 incidents and enquiries, particularly around Essbase calculation script job monitoring, ETL jobs (both via ODI and Essbase Load Script), and proactively identify, diagnosing and confirming the resolution of failures or issues (40%)
  • Assist group finance team with technical skillsets and capabilities to resolve identified issues including balance mismatches and incorrect final data positions (30%)
  • Identify issues with our Weblogic application server, Oracle or Microsoft web server, and resolve these issues in conjunction with our Infrastructure teams (10%)
  • Identify performance and functional issues with our AIX and Windows infrastructure, and represent Hyperion concerns and considerations to the infrastructure teams (10%)
  • Support development and enhancements of our HFM and Essbase applications MaxL in conjunction with the HFM/Essbase development team, including test case development, quality assurance and promotion though the SDLC process (10%)
Skills/Competencies:Required
  • 3 years or more experience of supporting Hyperion Essbase or Hyperion Financial Management
  • Understanding of the budgeting and planning cycle, and of the financial close cycle, preferably in a banking/finance setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with platform stakeholders and provide respected expertise
  • Familiarity with Oracle Weblogic Java Application Server and web server technologies preferably Oracle HTTP Server or Microsoft IIS
  • Familiarity with unix and windows environments
  • Base familiarity with ETL technologies, preferably Oracle Data Integrator
Preferred
  • Development or Level-3 experience with Hyperion Financial Management or Hyperion Essbase
  • Experience with other Hyperion suite products beyond Essbase and Hyperion Planning
  • Experience working with Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator, or similar
  • Awareness or understanding of ERP platforms, preferably PeopleSoft GL module
