• Participate in projects covering full data lifecycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.
• Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable and operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture
• Develop processes of the ingestion of data using various programming languages, techniques and tools from systems implemented using Oracle, Teradata, SAP, Hadoop technology stack
• Evaluate and make decisions around dataset implementations designed and proposed by peer engineers.
• Build large database models for FP&A including Balance Sheet, PnL, Cost Analytics and Related Ratios
• Use Dataiku to develop ETL, real time and batch data processes feeding into in-memory data infrastructure.
• Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
• Optimize Exasol data infrastructure using partitions, sorting and virtualized views accelerate query times by reducing query planning and reading times
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyse the effects and troubleshoot any issues
• Use query job analytics to analyse BI query plans to optimise execution times irrespective of the size of the underlying data set
• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions
• Conduct research via focus groups, usability test or other related tools
• Create tools to store data within the organization
• Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools
• Participate in data driven user experiences design process
• Mentor junior engineers

Strategy

• Full Stack Enterprise Architecture: Development and implementation of enterprise-class full-stack business intelligence and machine learning architecture. Defining the blue-sky vision and turning this into a tangible user experience in a practical commercial approach

Business

• Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions
• Development and implementation of data visualization, product-focused delivery processes, and core data information infrastructure for finance digital MI
• Development of internal and external partnering network to define & promote best practices for BI and build a community of practice across
• Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
• Understand user requirements by conducting usability test and requirements gather in conjunction with business analysts and technical members of the team

Processes

• Implementation of controls and processes to improve information quality and process efficiency

People and Talent

• Mentoring: Hands-on approach to mentoring technical talent and building technical and operational skills for the next generation of digital leaders
• New Ways of Working: implementation of new ways of working, including digital SCRUM and process design management methodology

Risk Management

• Risk Management Framework: Understanding of enterprise risk management framework and implementation of its core tenants as it related to digital MI
• Operational Risk: Development and implementation of controls and risk mitigation processes to minimize operating (process & data) risks for digital MI

Governance

• Data Quality Framework: Collaboration with Head of GFS Data Quality in development and implementation of data quality framework and controls
• Best Practices & Patterns: Development and implementation of digital MI patterns and best practices for user experience management and engineering

Our Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of commercial project implementation experience ( Database | Data warehousing | ETL | BI | Big Data | Data Science )
• Commercial experience working in Business Intelligence (SAP Analytics Cloud | Tableau | MS Power BI | MicroStrategy| Qlik )
• Proficiency in SQL ( DML | DDL | DCL | TCL )
• Commercial experience working on database/data warehouse projects ( Oracle | Exasol | SAP BW | Teradata )
• Commercial experience creating ETL processes using data integration tools ( Dataiku | Informatica | Oracle DI | Talend | Pentaho DI | IBM DataStage)
• Commercial experience with programming languages ( Python | R )
