Job Description

    Transformation of FX chain applications (booking/settlements) from Pro*C & C++ tech to .NET Core stack.Candidate must have excellent tech design/architectural skills and be able to aptly articulate ideas/proposals to stakeholders.Must be able to comprehend code in legacy tech, understand the functional aspects, conduct thorough impact analysis, rewrite business logic using .NET Core.Should have practical understanding of SOLID principles, Clean code, TDD/BDD, Agile methodologies.Good to have experience migrating from legacy architecture to modern/modular design.The successful candidate will work with C++ & .NET development team in Mumbai alongside the existing London-based SMEs. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Scope/Roles and Responsibilities: Role involves working with business analysts, technical leads and developers to implement enhancements and new functionality to a high standard based on information provided by business requirement specifications.As the role entails working in a one team approach, it is envisaged that developers will be working closely with the London based team in jointly providing high quality deliveries.Hands-on technical lead/architect, able to code, provide design/architectural guidance.Understand requirements, by liaising with BAs, Users, Architects, and Leads etc. and provide solutions that are robust, scalable and adhere to standards. Design and execute appropriate Unit, System & Integration tests. Apply appropriate automation techniques to make this efficient & dependable. Ensure all Platform and Organization practices & standards with respect to software development lifecycle & risk management are adhered to day to day. This includes appropriate documentation of software, time, plans and provide timely updates. Be available for Level 3 application support as and when needed by the Platform owner to investigate production issues and provide fixes/workaround to the L1 & L2 support team. Liaise appropriately with other platform IT teams upstream and downstream as and when required for assigned tasks. Technical & Behavioral Competencies
    • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in IT development.
    • Having Engineering/Solutioning mindset
    • Experience in working with below technical stack:
      • Experience with Client server architectures
      • C# .Net
      • WCF/ Web service/Web Api
      • WPF
      • Oracle/ SQL
      • Strong OOP principles
      • Good knowledge on Pattern and Practices
    • Unit Testing, Continuous integration tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins)
    • Good oral & written communication skills.
    • A good team player with good learning attitude.
