US-based investment firm Tiger Global Management invested $25 million in the company in September 2019 in a Series B funding round.We have a team of highly skilled technology and finance professionals, and are currently looking for highly motivated field experts to be part of our high-energy team.Where did it all start:Our journey started in 2010, when Raghu Kumar (RK), Ravi Kumar (RK) and Shrinivas Viswanath (SV) founded RKSV Securities India Pvt. Ltd., a proprietary trading firm. In 2012, we opened up to the general public by entering the retail brokerage space as a discount-broking firm. The dream was to make stock-market investing affordable and easy for all Indians, while ensuring that they also made profits from the venture. In 2016, we rebranded ourselves as Upstox. The same year, we also raised about $4 million in the first round of funding, backed by Mr. Ratan Tata, Kalaari Capital, and GVK Davix.Position: Engineering Manager (DevOps)As the Engineering Manager of DevOps at Upstox, youll be responsible for ensuring that Upstoxs team of software developers can frequently ship quality code to production reliably, securely and efficiently. As a guide in the development and delivery of software, tools and automation, youll know how to scale our DevOps systems to meet the needs of our growing developer community.About the Team:We are a Formula-1 team where every millisecond counts. Here, we are continuously innovating and building highly scalable backend systems and strategies that gives a seamless experience to our customers even during large volume of traffic hitting our systemsA glimpse of what we do:- Creating and improving multiple products via continuous delivery.- Embrace and enable DevOps culture within the organization.- Data driven approach to build new products and features.- Build new tech innovations to improve business processes and enable our various departments to help service our customers betterRoles & Responsibilities:- Should be able to lead a team of talented DevOps.- Should be able to create structure and process of task which will done by the team.- Should possess a deep understanding of ISO OSI layer.- Should have a very good understanding of Linux.- Should be expert in shell scripting.- Should possess the ability to breakdown and meticulously plan tasks and deliverables.- Should be very good with architecture diagrams, documentation and SDLC.Required Skills and Experience:- 12+ Years of Overall experience.- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation or an equivalent- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services.- Experience coding in at least one programming language(Python,Bash)- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service- Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Hashicorp Nomad etc.- Working experience on CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Gitlab.Good troubleshooting skills.Psst tips on how you can beat the competition:If you can showcase your abilities to:Be self-driven / quick starterHave an ownership mindsetAggressively drive and deliver resultsIf you fit the above description, we would love to connect with you!
