Global Finance & Business Management ( GF&BM ) India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan s global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm s Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm s capital. GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main pillars of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The Product teams, comprising of Research analysts, Investment Specialists (IS) and Portfolio Management teams are responsible for providing additional insights to our securities coverage universe, strategy design, commercializing and monetizing our strategies. The Client Service group caters to functions like RFP, Onboarding, KYC, Client Reporting and Fund level Governance oversight functions involving Product administration, Board management, Funds registration, TA Service Delivery, Product implementation and vendor management services. Role Overview The team is seeking a Full-Time Associate to join the team in India as an Investment Specialist (IS). The Investment Specialist team is keenly focused on growing the business through new clients, expanding existing relationships and delivering new product, as well as retaining current assets. Importantly, the team maintains a strong communication framework to provide new and existing clients with detailed and regular insights. The Associate will work with the team on prospective opportunities and supporting existing client relationships. The role requires strong time management and communication skills, as well as attention to detail, as we seek to deliver high quality, timely insights to our clients through a team-based approach. The Associate role requires the candidate to demonstrate strong verbal, written and numerical skills, be competent at multi-tasking, comfortable working at a moderate to fast pace and keen to grow in the role. The incumbent will initially focus on managing our regular updates to clients through pitchbooks and data-led reports, while learning about our business. Over time the role will expand to include responding to adhoc queries from our stakeholders, setting up new reporting requirements, trouble-shooting any data and reporting issues. The role includes developing an understanding of Equity markets, which is encouraged by participation in providing updates to the rest of the team. Responsibilities include:
• Update, maintain and improve client materials including pitchbooks and review material
• Respond to adhoc requests from stakeholders, with an initial focus on data-led queries
• Complete updates to the consultant databases working closely with the dedicated team
• Complete requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs) and due diligence questionnaires, with an initial focus on data-led components
• Attend PM meetings and take notes for IS team use, while activity supports developing written skills and deepening knowledge to leverage in client work in future
• Liaise with JPMAM client service and reporting teams, and the technology team to streamline/automate/verify client data and reporting (standard/customized/ad hoc)
• Monitor industry databases and publications for relevant environment, competitive and marketing information
Essential Skills:
• 5-7 years experience with financial product analysis, marketing or client services
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including in English)
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and skilled in PowerPoint
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge not required)
• Ability to prioritize a variety of responsibilities and ad-hoc requests in a moderate to fast-paced environment; ability to learn and execute new tasks quickly and in real-time
