Job Description

    This is a key role within the Asia Pacific Finance team with the primary responsibility of supporting the General Manager (South Asia) and the Controller SAK, in providing business analysis and financial, planning and analysis support to the Division and Area Management. The position also oversees India financial reporting requirements by managing the consolidation of financial information and driving the analysis for fluctuations of results for India region markets including India and other South Asia export markets ( export markets ).A secondary role is to support the risk management, compliance and internal controls in the India affiliate and export markets.Supports the APAC process for the preparation, review and submission of the rolling quarterly financial forecasts [rolling latest best estimates (rLBE)), monthly flash reports, commercial and demand review (CDR) and long-range strategic planning for India and export markets.Manage the development and execution of all financial and demand forecasts for the affiliate; including managing work priorities, forecast review calendars and securing support from other commercial team members to support the rLBE and CDR process.Organize and lead effective financial and commercial reviews of financial forecasts and submissions and necessary templatesPrepares and reviews templates for Area to ensure data collection and analysis for affiliate is shared with Area Finance team on a timely basis; ensuring the reliability and mathematical accuracy of dataProvides clear and concise commentary, insights on business drivers for business performance and key assumptions driving forecasts.Proactively improves the accuracy of financial forecasts including profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow and foreign exchange items.Proactively provides ideas for improvement and growth using insights of affiliate business conditions and market dynamics including highlighting key opportunities and vulnerabilitiesSupports the analysis of relevant financial information to support business decisions and commercial strategies including financial models, simulations, and project feasibility studies.Maintains clear and effective communication of India region perspective of financial performance drivers, growth opportunities and challenges.Drive effective and impactful FP&A activitiesCoordinate the annual Standard Cost development, including analysis and cost change reconciliation that explain the year over year cost change impact and present to management.Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the P&L, Headcount, and Investment data for all Plan/Updates and rLBEs.Provide oversight and controls for the monthly accounting close process, including appropriate expense accruals plus review of actuals versus plan to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly financial information.Provide oversight on Budget Control of the affiliate through:Review Free Of Charge products, inventory write offs and Trade discount programs actual expenditures vs benchmark for budget analysis. Address significant variances with sales team.Review monthly departmental expense tracking for actuals vs Plan/rLBE benchmark to assure compliance with budget.Review monthly sample detail report.Work closely with the Area Demand Planning Manager and India Demand Planner to ensure alignment of forecast volumesInitiates and drive efficiency through continuous process improvements of the financial planning and analysis process (through automation, streamlining and standardization of processes)Provides training to affiliate personnel in the preparation of financial planning and reporting requirements.Undertakes Finance related projects as directed on an ad-hoc basis to support Country and Area requirementsLeads, develops and trains direct staff (as needed)The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
