Our clients are real estate-focused private equity investors, developers, fund managers, brokers, and more. We pride ourselves on our quality, strong communication, and work ethic. We are a natural extension of our clients existing infrastructure. The type of transactions we currently work on range from multifamily apartment complexes to large office towers in the United States and European markets, with values ranging from $10 million USD to $200 million USD.Roles & Responsibilities:Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, ensuring transaction accuracy and integrity.
Investor Reports:
• Create essential financial entries, including PPD, Depreciation, and Accrual Journal Entries.
• Update preferred return schedules and prepare Budget Comparison Reports for monthly presentation to investors.
Cash Activity Management:
• Monitor bank account balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
• Approve appropriate Accounts Payable (AP) amounts based on available funds.
Draw Requests:
• Initiate draw requests for Building Improvement (BI) and Tenant Improvement (TI) projects with lenders.
Lender Reports:
• Prepare and distribute comprehensive financial reports to lenders quarterly.
Payroll Reconciliation:
• Thoroughly reconcile payroll before entry into Yardi.
Deal Pipeline Management:
• Regularly extract and organize deal information from the broker portal.
• Maintain and store deal data on SharePoint for easy access and reference.
Underwriting Multifamily Deals:
• Utilize the UW model for precise underwriting of multifamily investments.
Budgeting and Financial Updates:
• Establish and manage budgeting files, ensuring timely updates to financial data.
• Implement budget changes in Yardi for accurate financial representation.
Lease Trade-in Comparisons:
• Conduct detailed comparisons of lease trade-ins on portfolio properties, providing analyses to support decision-making.
Requirements Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Experience: Minimum 01-03 years of experience in Financial Modelling & Minimum 01 Years in Yardi Software / Equity Research / DCF Modelling Skills / Investment Banking - (Must Have)Education: Real estate analysts require a Masters degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or in a related field.Knowledge: They require experience managing workload, report productions, and programs. They also require a strong command of the local real estate markets and business, with a good understanding of macro trends and historical perspectives. It is also vital that analysts have a good understanding of private equity, investment risk, and real estate investments.Research skills: Most real estate analyst jobs involve data collection and analysis; hence, they must possess substantial data collection, validation, and auditing skills. They must be up-to-date with recent trends and news in the industry. Their job also requires a detailed study of the real estate market for trends, micro and macro factors affecting the market, etc.; hence they must possess solid research ability.Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities: They require high-level analytical skills to run financial models and analyze all aspects of the local real estate markets, and exposure to Yardi Software is also mandatory.Organizational skills: They require the ability to multi-task, manage time and workloadStrong written and oral communication skills: They must possess solid or fluent writing skills because their job entails writing reports and rankings for internal and external professional communications. They must also have oral communication abilities to work in a team environment, effectively present reports, and communicate technical or numerate data in a clear and concise manner. They need to have the ability to work effectively under pressure. They must be able to make rational decisions when under pressure.Entrepreneurial: Real estate analysts must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and think proactively and strategically.
