Job Description

Plans, schedules, and manages the daily workflow of one or more client relationships. Maintains strong client relationship, evaluates and recommends process improvements resulting in increased efficiency and improved client service.Roles and Responsibilities (list the primary job duties and responsibilities)Performs 1st, 2nd and targeted reviews on client financial statements, NQs, Form N-MFP, NSAR, ensures all regulatory filings are made on time; manages draft and support distribution to all partiesComprehend the scope of services offered to clients and reviews with the team; demonstrate technical expertise; ensure team meets all client deliverables and manages relationships of assigned clientsEnsure all controls/checklists and procedures are adhered to as well as make recommendations for improvementProactively managing risk at the business level; feel fully accountable for all steps of the production chainEnsures effective use of automation (FundSuite, MCH, Macros, etc.) and make recommendations for current system enhancementsOversees the effective coordination of activities between multiple departments within organization, including our global offshoring partnersCoordinates the research and resolution of any accounting issue, auditor or client comments and/or JV inquiriesResponsible for reviewing staff level work, as neededParticipates in the resolution of client issuesProvide coaching and development opportunities to staff and responsible for completing and delivering PPRs on timeMake effective recommendations to hire, discipline, control work, determine promotions, and terminate employmentSkill Sets :Mandatory Process Skills Sets:Fund AccountingChoose an item.Financial AnalysisMandatory Soft & Technical Skill Sets:Excellent Communication SkillsAbility to drive change, create process improvements, and implement technology initiativesProblem Solving SkillsAbility to effectively manage a team of professionals, planning out work and resource allocationAnalytical SkillsProvide feedback for developmentTechnological SkillsEffective communication and ability to manage day to day activities of a team as well as client inquiriesAbility to work with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook)Education Requirements:Graduate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.CA or MBA is preferredExperience Requirements:6 - 10 years of experience in Financial Reporting / accounting, auditing or related business activity for mutual funds/hedge funds/pension funds including previous experience in managing staffDemonstrates strong technology skills, as well as problem solving and analytical skillsDemonstrates an ability to be a leader within their team, as well as be a leader amongst your peersExposure to US GAAP/IFRS etc. preferredStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, which includes excellent time management skills,
