Job Description

This position will be the next level financial leadership position, taking care of all key Financial aspects of the organization, working under the CFO. The GM Finance will support the CFOs office by taking on additional responsibilities beyond the aspects of day-to-day Finance and Accounts. A performing candidate could be groomed to be a successor to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor policies and processes to ensure accuracy of the financial statements
  • Prepare company annual report with oversight of financial reporting, corporate governance, and risk management policies
  • Implement and review the financial control across all the supply chain and network consisting of a multi-location plant set up.
  • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets etc.
  • Prepare the Quarterly Forecasts, Annual Budgets and Strategic Plans.
  • Steer the integration of companys operational data into the ERP system, to create one view of all information, automatically consolidating operations and sales data into Financial statements
  • Implement Costing processes, track variances thereof, and improve the processes to be as accurate as possible
  • Manage the relationships with investors, and provide timely MIS and reporting
  • Liaise with Banks, NBFCs, and FIs to reduce the cost of capital, at terms beneficial to the organization
  • Monitor, analyze and drive the operational improvement process through appropriate financial metrics
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and central laws including IND AS
  • Lead the accounting and finance team, managing and developing their skills, priorities, and direction

Qualifications:

  • Should have 15+ years of relevant Finance background with a minimum of 5 years in a finance leadership role with a listed manufacturing company.
  • Demonstrated track record of having positively impacted gross margins using strong financial control and cost management measures
  • Strong systems orientation - should have worked in an ERP environment and ideally driven at least one major ERP implementation
  • Should possess strong analytical and operating skills and intimate working knowledge of Indian accounting laws statutory compliances
  • Ability in liaising with banks, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and other external agencies.
  • Should posses the qualities of a business driver
  • Should be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
