Job Description

The Medical Excellence Global Budget Lead role in HBU Medical Affairs Group is a project and budget planning/tracking role supporting the Global and Country/Cluster Medical colleagues. The Medical Excellence Global Budget Lead provides the financial and project initiation and tracking support for Global Medical Affairs projects and leads planning on behalf of the team for prioritized projects. Working both independently & at times in partnership with the project s sponsor and the Finance team, the Medical Excellence Global Budget Lead performs a variety of activities in support of project initiation and tracking, drives proactive thinking around effectively progressing projects and continually making processes and efficiency improvements. The Medical Excellence Global Budget Lead works closely with the HBU Medical Excellence Lead and HBU LT members/nominees to drive the compilation, review and analyses of financial/budget data as well as track completion of project milestones. The Medical Excellence Budget Lead utilizes Pfizer systems and applicable software tools for the functional area within Medical Affairs to compile and generate reports, flow charts, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations for the HBU Medical LT.The Medical Excellence Budget Lead role will be an integral member of the Medical Excellence Team and GMAIST reporting to the HBU Medical Excellence Lead.The role will be based in India which will enable recruitment of a well-qualified candidate while ensuring a cost-effective solution and cost neutral solution to a significant resourcing gap.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement and Outsourcing and finance and HBU Medical colleagues, as well as external customers when appropriate, to develop and execute SOWs, MSAs, consultant agreements, service level agreements, program schedules, Purchase Orders and Confidential Disclosure Agreements, and support of other project management financial activities as needed including invoice routing, approval and tracking related to the project
  • Responsible for setting up projects in ARIBA/ePA3/EPAY including setting up and routing Purchase Requisition with appropriate use of WBS elements, cost centers, GL codes, and other coding parameters for proper payment records, amending Purchase Orders, extraction of reports in support of actuals from SAP BI and appropriate channeling of SAP related inquiries for issue resolution.
  • Partner with assigned team members to track milestones for key projects according to the endorsed timeline, cost, and quality parameters
  • Co-ordinate budget management and tracking for assigned HBU teams. Produces what-if scenario based on context obtained from project team
  • Provides timely reporting to the project teams, alerting teams to the possibility of at-risk/missed budgets/estimates or conflicting milestones and critical path activities
  • Ensures regular information updates, metrics and analysis and interpretation of data to project teams and HBU LT members/nominees
  • The Medical Excellence Global Budget Lead works closely with the HBU Medical Excellence Lead and HBU LT members/nominees to drive the compilation, review and analyses of financial/budget data as well as track completion of project milestones.
  • Utilizes available reporting and visualization tools to support governance and team reporting
  • Leverage available tools/systems to manage data capture/tracking including complex Excel spreadsheets, if needed and recommend new ways to collect/analyze information
  • Lead communication of budget/financial updates and supports development of LT update presentations
  • Provide information, training and support for new project / financial system users when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • Master s degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor s degree with 5 years of experience.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of applicable pharmaceutical industry experience or similar industry experience
  • Candidates from financial or procurement background with project management skills preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer systems and programs required
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge and proficiency with general office software (e.g., MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, Acronis)
  • Expert knowledge of Pfizer specific processes and procedures applicable to the line/Site (e.g., GCE, ARIBA, EPA3, EPAY, functional area databases, Pfizer IT platforms) would be preferable.
  • Skilled in utilizing Teleconference & WebEx Services, SharePoint (advanced skill necessary to train new team members), and software unique to Medical Affairs including iMed, and MEDIC
  • Expertise in ARIBA SAP, EPAY and ePA3 would be preferable
  • Possesses excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal as well as written communications.
  • Able to interact, influence and work effectively with a diverse group of colleagues, senior leaders, and peers
  • Trained/experienced in project management and moderately complex negotiation, facilitation and managing cross-functional team dynamics
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving and project management skills, owning accountability, and resourcefulness and perseverance through ambiguous situations. Demonstrates owning accountability and resourcefulness with ability to anticipate needs.
  • Must be able to work independently, be proactive, solution-oriented, and self-motivated with strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks with frequent, tight deadlines
  • Excellent judgment and ability to work with confidential documents and information
