Position: Head Engineering (Games)About the role:The Head of Gaming Engineering role would be part of the senior leadership team that plans, drives, and reviews the delivery of projects within the agreed product pipeline, and contributes to the organizations bottom line and top line. Lead initiatives on transformations and re-engineering of the product platform. The role entails the development and implementation of the technical and engineering strategies that support the gaming business. A key focus of the role will be building world-class games with a focus on automation, scalability. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the roadmap is delivered both on time and to a high standard. • Establish trusting partnerships with developers, partners, and architecture professionals to deliver optimized platform products.
• Provide technical leadership for every aspect of software.
• Lead complex technical and strategic discussions that involve multiple personas including engineering, architect, product, customer, and other stakeholders.
• Provide a strong understanding of native mobile developer platforms and bring broad thought leadership to the next generation mobile developer experience.
• Lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams to build and scale highly reliable, secure, and performant Build & Test Platform products and frameworks to enable a frictionless development lifecycle for MX Player developers with a delightful experience.
• Lead a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on engineering excellence, execution, and craftsmanship as a Customer Champion.
• Drive cost efficiency and technology modernization programs.
• Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for the delivery of scalable and high-quality software.
• Build, coach, and manage a strong team of engineers that set the standard and can up-level the overall talent of the extended organization.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of the gaming industry
• Track record of leading android/iOS engineering team(s) delivering products using modern methodologies
• Multi-industry experience with a high transaction platform business.
• Solid track record of over-achieving engineering and platform delivery and scaling targets in high volume, innovative and fast-paced high-pressure environment; proven results in delivery on platform product.
• Experience in setting up and/or working with cross-functional teams.
• Global mindset with the ability to think about culture, language, and other aspects when putting the customer at the center of all outcomes.
• Ability to formulate and deliver on solutions to complex problems in a large and diverse technology landscape with multiple teams.
• Strong strategic planning and organizational skills; ability to build and lead a team across geographically distributed locations.
• Can thrive in an environment where success depends on a high degree of cross-functional collaboration to solve complex problems.
