JOB PURPOSE : The role will entail partnering with the business and assisting line managers in meeting the HR agenda for the value centre/ business unit. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with HR policy and influencing the HR agenda for the value centre/ business unit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage human resources issues, help to establish and maintain positive relations with employees, and foster a productive working environment. To analyze and make recommendations regarding competitiveness in recruiting activities, compensation and benefits. Recommend and develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans. To develop tools and plans for supervisory career path development, succession planning and other talent management processes. To oversee employee orientation and training programs, workplace safety, wellness plans and regulatory compliance. To design programs, policies, and practices to attract, retain, and/ or engage talent in alignment with the business strategy. Using data and statistics and leveraging technology to enhance performance. Regularly review measures to drive performance, identify trends, and develop/ implement process improvements, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate. Develop, coach, and mentor staff to build a high- performance team; set goals and facilitate growth and development to meet individualized employee career goals, motivational needs, and organizational opportunities. Participate in the development and delivery of training for internal staff, specialist groups, or others as needed. Work with leadership to establish and review compensation budgets. Ensure competitiveness of benefits and compensation by staying current on market trends and sharing that data with senior leadership and making appropriate recommendations. CANDIDATES PROFILE: Candidates should be MBAs from premium B schools with a specialization in Human Resources and have between 15 to 20 years relevant experience from the Banking industry only.
