The HOD will also ensure that appropriate processes for execution and communication with the team are adequately followed.Quality Assurance: Ensure all learning components are created to the highest possible standards, and that all necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures are followed.People Management: Ensure that team performance is managed appropriately, workload allocation is done in a timely manner, and that the team has access to the necessary support to enable them to complete all tasks. Engender a culture of excellence, co-operation and respect within the departments.Knowledge Transfer: Carry out the training and on-boarding of new recruits, as well as create new opportunities to upskill the current team.Research and Development: Keep oneself abreast of developments in the education field as well as in other fields related to the department target group.
