Job Description

The India Sales team is responsible for sales of Index, Risk and Portfolio Analytics, and ESG Research in the SAARC region viz. , India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other neighboring countries. Currently sales of these products are mostly to global banks operating in India. In addition, the domestic market in India is a very big focus area for MSCI and there is a lot of focus in developing the domestic business in India. We are specifically seeking a person to lead the India Sales team, with strong client relationships and a good acumen, educational background, communication skills, basic understanding of Equities, Indices and Analytics to target development and sales of MSCI products to Indian entities. We are seeking a person who has a balance of strong sales track record and management experience, with a deep desire to learn, has a short learning curve and a hunger to achieve and deliver the desired results. Reports to Head of South Asia based in Singapore. Responsibilities: Own, develop and lead MSCI s business in India to achieve sales targets. Lead and manage the India Sales team as Country head in strategic activities, marketing and various other business engagements. Contribute directly to part of the India team s sales targets. Work closely with clients and strengthen relationships including government entities to help grow MSCI s franchise in India Desired experience and qualifications: Successful and proven sales track record, high ownership quotient, excellent communication skillsAbility to navigate potential hurdlesEntrepreneurial spirit to own and develop businessOver 10 years in financial services industry, with some management experience preferableExperience and existing relationships with government entities would be an advantageCA/ CFA/ MBA/ Masters or equivalent from a reputed business school in India or abroad Due to the great number of applications we receive for each of our open vacancies, we are unable to respond on an individual basis.
