Job Description

Role Objective:

  • The AVP Research Intelligence and Operations (RIO) manages three critical functions within the Measurement Science department : Insights, Research Intelligence, and Sample Control.
  • Working closely with the Chief of Measurement Science, the AVP RIO is responsible to helping drive forward their goal of assisting the Indian Television Industry through deep data related insights to how India Watches TV. These insights are developed through raw level data using inferential statistics and analytical techniques. The position also supports various departments within the organizations such as the Senior Executive Team, Product Management, Market Analytics, and Partnerships to conduct deep analysis into viewing data in order to understand the pulse of the viewing behaviour of individuals/households across channel/genre on account of TV / Non-TV factors from raw data.
  • The position also manages aspects of Sample Control working closely with the Head Pure Science & Methodology along with the field operations team ensuring that the Sample Design is achieved as per specifications.
  • The role oversees three direct reports and four sub-contractors. The position is expected to be able to communicate findings, insights and ideas clearly to senior management, governance committees and clients.
Job Responsibilities :
  • Oversee and manage the development of insight white papers, presentations, and reports generated through raw level data ensuring continues to provide value added insight to its stakeholders
  • Work and communicate closely with the Senior Executive Team as well as the Product Management and Partnership departments in understanding the insight needs of the organization and its clients
  • Work closely with Market Analytics by providing understandings, generated through raw level data, of the reason for shifts in viewing
  • Support Vigilance in the analysis of suspected households
  • Support Partnerships by managing data queries generated through the membership
  • Developing rich and deep understandings of various forms of syndicated and non-syndicated viewership data
  • Working closely with the Head Advanced Analytics and Data Science in developing means of fusion and integrating various forms of viewership data identifying key challenges and nuances to the various data sets
  • Overseeing the sample control processes by tracking sample performance and developing KPIs
  • Following up with Field Operations when Sample Performance KPIs are not met, developing plans and timelines for remedial action
  • Driving special strategic projects of Distribution Insights from Raw Data, Journey of Households, Consumption Panel, RPD, Raw Data Visualization
