Job Role-I. To manage the ICU department in a professional manner to ensure high standardsof Client care and safety with smooth running and efficiency,II. To work with the ICU team in delivery of patient care.III. To implement all policies, protocol, statutory regulations and guidelines in theICU.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. To lead and work with ICU team to endure the delivery of high standards of careand safety.i. To manage the ICU in a professional manner to ensure high stands of clientcare delivered by the team in appropriate and evidenced based manner.ii. To work in collaboration with ICU team in delivery of client care.iii. To ensure an appropriate skill mix of staff which meet client needs.iv. To ensure delivery of professional and high standard of client care within the ICUv. To conduct effective monitoring of employee performance against professionalstandards an defined quality standards.vi. To encourage a culture of innovation and improvement within the ICUdepartment by seeking staff views on ways of improving services.vii To liaise closely with Intensivist and consultants in providing care to clientviii To respect the clients dignity and to ensure that attention is given to clientsneeds, request and wishes.ix To ensure the ICU staffs are trained and able to carry out emergency procedurescorrectly and efficiently.xi To ensure implementation of ICU policies.xii To take daily rounds with subordinates.
