JD: Overall supervision of the department Co-ordinate with the various departments (engineering, projects, purchase, housekeeping,systems, biomedical, laundry etc.) within the hospital for better functioning of the department. Procurement of samples of general items and getting them approved from the various incharges and then raising a purchase requisition and its follow up till the items areprocured. Co-ordinate with OPD for various issues from time to time Co-ordinate with RSO, vendors of the equipment and the department for specific AERB/BARC related issues. Pursue vendors to deliver goods on time. Act as an interface between the costing department and the consultants for costing of new services. Raising CAP (Capital Asset Purchase) forms in consultation with the HOD and follow up, till the item is procured. Handling patient grievances w. r. t appointments, report delivery etc Renewal of registration(s) like PNDT Act in co-ordination with the respective designated people. Planning and supervision of the relocation of the various sections to the renovated areas. Authorization of all refund vouchers.Authorization of cash collection statement. Attend the departmental meetings, prepare minutes and act on the issues raised. Carrying out the working and analysis of various projects from time to time for the department eg. the six sigma project (TAT of Imaging report), call centre data, detailedlisting of test codes for CT, MR, USG and Color Doppler. Identification of ways to improve the systems (processes) in the department. Work in concurrence with the systems department for the development of Radiology Information System. Conduct meetings with the staff i.e. Technicians, Stenos/ Receptionists and attendants (of Imaging and Nuclear Medicine) on various relevant issues, understand their problems and finding appropriate solutions. Counsel and motivate staff from time to time. Ensure that the reports are typed and dispatched on time. Staff management - ensuring that there is no overlap of leave among the staff so that the work does not suffer. Involved in recruitment of technicians, receptionist and the attendants in the department of Imaging, cath lab and NMD. Removal of scrap from the department after due formalities from time to time. Initiated the process of revising the old brochures and other stationary for the department (Imaging and NMD) Responsible for stock verification semiannually as well as annually. Graduate with MBA in Hospital Administration/Healthcare Management from a reputed institute with relevant experience in a Hospital.
