Job Description

:The Business Performance Intern supports the Polyurethanes European Business Performance Team and the Global Elastomers Business Performance team in the preparation of systematic performance reports, ad-hoc analysis and key business performance management projects.Principal accountabilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely management reports, analysis and presentations
  • Support the European Finance Team ensure timely month end close of the financials, based on qualitative and in time information and analysis
  • Contribute in new reporting requirements and support data integrity improvements for reported business results
  • Support the automation of performance management reporting to provide quick access to information and mitigate the use of time-consuming spreadsheet reporting. Work with existing and emerging information systems (such as but not limited to SAP HANA, IBM Planning & Analytics, Alteryx, Power BI).
  • Master data check, update and maintenance for all key systems (such as but not limited to SAP, SAP HANA, IBM Planning & Analytics, Power BI) on a monthly basis
  • Contribute to ad hoc business improvement projects
Requirements:
  • This position requires a degree within the Accounting or Finance discipline
  • Solid business and/or financial acumen
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity
  • The ability to structure information and to clearly report and communicate conclusions drawn from that information.
  • The ability to work independently with large data volumes from multiple sources and act as a self-starter.
  • Affinity with information systems as depository and source of performance data is required
  • Strong analytical skills with high level of accuracy and quality
  • Results oriented with sense for initiative and self-development and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in English is required
