Job Description

• Exception monitoring & resolution
  • Lead upfront analysis of exceptions and alerts from daily data loads, identify alerts that are vendor relevant exceptions, lead vendor escalations, coordinate and track data issue resolutions
• DQM Buildout
  • Define specifications to enhance the MDH File and Data Monitoring capabilities (DQM) to meet Operational requirements and test capabilities as they are built.
  • DQM processes identify exceptions and alerts from each data load. The DQM GUI presents data load SLAs, status alerts and exceptions. Buildout is required to support client SLAs, automated alerts and integrated workflows.
• Consumer Alerts
  • Build and document understanding of data usage sufficient to support targeted escalation of exception conditions to relevant Consumers
• Automated Alert Buildouts
  • Identify and maintain data to enable automated Vendor, Ops, Tech and Consumer notifications
• Data Profiling
  • Profile new data sets to identify and document characteristics required to build logical data models, data quality checks and exception alerts aligned to consumer priorities.
  • Participate in the calibration of DQ parameters based on daily experience with exception volumes and causes.
• DQ Rule Enhancements
  • Participate in the definition of business rules that identify recurring patterns of exceptions, and the definition of resolution paths for recurring issues
  • Identify opportunities to enhance DQ rule characteristics to more tightly identify alerts of relevance to consumers
• Data SME
  • Build data expertise to support analysis of alerts and exceptions
  • Become an in-region expert for funds and analytic data in the i-MDH Database
  • Develop collaborative relationships with globally distributed MDH, tech, Operations and vendor contacts as required for successful alignment and delivery of program benefits

QualificationsIndustry Knowledge

• 5 or more years of experience in Finance, Consulting or Technology industries
• 3 or more years of experience with Asset and Wealth Management products and processes
• Detailed knowledge of instruments, instrument analytics, funds and shareclasses preferred

Functional Skills

• 5 or more years of experience managing data analysis projects
• 5 or more years in an operational environment with responsibility for daily data loads and exception management
• Superior analytical skills: Quickly define and deconstruct problems. Identify patterns. Identify root causes. Proposes multiple solution paths
• Superior organizational and project management skills
• Proactive risk identification and management
• Excellent issue resolution and negotiation skills
• Experience performing four or more of the following functions: data profiling, data modeling, business analysis, technical analysis, process flow mapping, vendor management

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel skills required.
• SQL skills required
• Advanced Access and PowerPoint skills preferred
