Job Description

The scope of duties will involve maintaining all aspects of the IT infrastructure and end-user support, including managing a number of networks, maintaining, securing and organizing servers, gateways, switches, optimizing the organization of the whole IT infrastructure and pursuing further improvements. Another important task will be assisting traders with day-to-day IT related issues and report software malfunction. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining good quality of Internet services such as VoIP or email, maintaining a positive image of IT and cooperating closely with team members in other offices.Desired Candidate Profile

  • The perfect candidate will be able to demonstrate practical and theoretical knowledge or skills in the following areas:
  • From 1 to 8 years of experience in IT Support role or similar.
  • English language, confidence in listening and speaking.
  • Communication skills. Ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical users in an understandable way.
  • Linux (experience with Gentoo is a bonus), with at least basic shell scripting skills
  • Administrative knowledge of Windows XP/7, including tuning and security issues
  • Networking theory - routing and switching
  • Ethernet, the TCP/IP stack, network diagnosing
  • Software and hardware problem diagnosing tools
  • Security concepts, involving firewalling, encrypting data and streams, TLS and SSL.
  • Good understanding of common service protocols such as SSH, DHCP, IMAP and DNS.
