Job Description

* Job Title: Landscape Visualiser / Graphic Technician Career Family: Career Family: Architecture & Design Sub Family: Landscape Architecture Level: Level 5 Location: Bangalore / Mumbai Reporting Matrix / Organisation Chart:

  • Reports to: Team Leader
  • Direct Reports: None
Working Relationships & Contacts
  • Landscape. Masterplanning. and Urbanism Team working directly with the Team in the management of day-to-day tasks / workload, but also working with the wider Geospatial. Data. and Visualisation team and ESI group.
  • Project Teams working directly with project teams to produce supporting landscape and urban design and EIA related visualisations and graphics, including materials for public exhibitions and public inquiries.
  • Pursuits Team working occassionally on pursuits to support Pursuits team outputs for bids to ensure a high quality of output is consistently achieved
  • Capability / Marketing Team working with EPL and capability leads to produce supporting visulaisations for marketing including website and marketing events
Job Purpose:
  • To prepare a broad variety of visualizations and graphics using a range of software packages to primarily support the UK landscape architecture and graphics team, as well as other UK delivery teams to meet project needs and outputs.
  • To expand the graphics capability within the current teams to help meet client expectations and Arcadis propositions.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Act as a project resource to support the successful delivery of visulisations and graphics and related outputs individually or as part of a team
  • Identify information sources and collect relevant data to support project delivery
  • Prepare sketch and technical drawings, graphics to support spatial design proposals, renderings and photomontages to reflect the design intentions for projects.
  • Meet company and client requirements and that comply with UK national standards and codes of practice including the Landscape Institute.
  • Financial Accountability: Timely completion of time sheets
  • Project Accountability: Support project objectives as defined for each project via project through graphics support with guidance from landscape and graphics teams.
Dimensions of the job:
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge (for example UK national regulations, regulatory guidance, national standards, codes of practice and Arcadis procedures) to ensure best practice is followed where required.
  • Health and Safety: Understanding of key H&S principles and input to the H&S reporting system
  • Independent working: Shows initiative within the context of level of reponsibility
  • Utilisation: Role and team-specific
  • Analyse data to support the development of design solutions
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proficient in the knowledge, use and application of a variety of industry graphics related software packages, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design), 3D Modelling Software (SketchUp + others), AutoCAD, 3D Rendering Software (Lumion 3D, 3DMax, V-Ray)
  • Basic working knowledge of GIS software (ArcMap), and BIM related software (Bentley MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D) to support aspects of the role
  • Desirable - ability to draw / sketch to quickly commuinicate ideas graphically
  • An awareness of the typical outputs associated with landscape and urban design and EIA related visualisations and graphics
  • Effective research, data gathering and analysis skills
  • Proficient in relevant desktop applications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Some knowledge of Landscape Architecture / Urban Design would be beneficial
