Job Description

Lead Consultant, JavaIn this role, one shall be responsible for designing and developing applications using Java technology framework and SQL as the Database for Manufacturing, BFS and Capital Market client. The candidate will be part of technology team responsible for delivering the Firmwide Data Catalogue and other components of the data tooling infrastructure.Candidate will be working with partners and the COE team in other regions to gather requirements, design and provide technology solutions to problems such as data cataloguing, integration of data change management with agile and SDLC processes, tooling for data analytics governance, cloud data governance etc.Additional responsibilities shall include contributing in designing and documenting of the software architecture based on existing architecture and inputs received from Client from time to time. Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualificationsBE/B Tech/MCAExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred qualifications

  • Java/J2EE (1.8 or higher), Spring Boot, Python, Web Services (SOAP/REST), APIs, Sybase, DB2, MySQL, Hive, Java Message Services, SQL Server
  • Technical Professional, with proven abilities in the areas of Java development and implementation, multi-threading, Concurrency, Semaphore
  • Understanding in software systems design and architecture
  • Agile software development practices, TDD, Continuous Integration
  • Experience programming using relational databases such as Sybase, DB2, MySQL, Hive
  • Data Analysis skills
  • Basic understanding and experience working on a Unix/Linux environment
  • Experience working in Distributed environments
  • Experience with front-end development, preferably with Angular
  • Good experience of developing multi-threaded and synchronization application
  • RDF/SPARQL/GraphQL, Graph databases or other NOSQL data
  • Experience with any Data cataloguing or governance tools/process (Collibra)
  • One who is Passionate about technology, problem solving, ability to adapt new skills, sharing expertise and knowledge
  • Excellent customer facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations. The person should have a technical curiosity to implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the customer
