Job Description

    ALMT function is responsible for Asset Liabilities management and treasury activity of BNP Paribas. It also handles Bank s funding needs and risk management activities.OMR is a Local Settlement and accounting application with core functions of Booking, Confirmation, Referential, Accounting, Payments, Reconciliation, Reporting etc. This application is used globally by Operations Team which caters to CIB-Global Markets & CIB Finance Business M tiers including ALMT Position Purpose The position is under ALMT IT team scope to contribute in ISPL OMR Functional Lead capacity for development, enhancements, and maintenance & support activities for OMR application by efficiently utilizing continuous improvement and agile methodology. Immediate responsibilities would include but not restricted to: Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities
    • Ability To lead a strong functional analyst team in ISPL for OMR platform
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with onsite stakeholders and get the assigned job done.
    • To co-ordinate closely with the APAC Product Owner, business users and onsite Business Analyst or managers of the application to understand the project requirements. Functional Reporting to onsite OMR Platform Leads based in Hong Kong and Paris
    • Prepare demand dashboard and plan project deliverables for OMR Global roadmap. Keep full view on roadmap, changing priorities and be a single entry point for the APAC/Global region for all topics and escalation, planning and status.
    • Convene BA standup, mentoring BA team members and proactively resolve their problems
    • Validate functional specifications prepared by Business analyst team and provide feedback
    • Ensure project schedules are adhered to with proper status reporting. Project dashboards to be maintained and shared with management/stakeholders on periodic basis.
    • Review test plans and conduct Integration, Regression, Performance and Functional Testing to confirm solution delivered is meeting acceptance criteria
    • Create prototype for proof of concept and business requirements validations for complex requirements
    • Provide functional assistance to Business Analyst/ Development/ Testing / Production Support teams.
    • Master product knowledge, conduct training sessions on applications and functionalities. Maintain skills for Business Analyst team. Help to build strong delivery teams
    • S hould have good capital market exposure for Forex, Money Markets & Derivatives products including payment messages , referential, rates, credit assets class etc
    • Should have exposure on SEC & REPO products including all corporate actions.
    • Have end to end knowledge on Trade life cycle from front to back
    • Should have accounting well verse on capital market products.
    • Ensure that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development lifecycle and day-to-day development work.
    • Review effort estimates, schedule for various modules, and meet deadlines.
    • Track Functional skills for BA team and maintain functional documentation for OMR APAC Platform APAC projects
    • To participate in out-of-hours / daytime support as required
    • To ensure that application is of good quality, ensure any issues are fixed on priority.
    • To work closely with transversal teams to help solve complex problems
    • Work towards initiatives to improve processes and delivery efficiency
    • Monitor closely L3 Support for APAC and other regions [ OMR Global Platform]
    • To ensure all activities carried-out and solutions proposed, planned and delivered are compliant with Organization policy guidelines.
    • Strong knowledge of Unix and good understanding of SQL to perform hands on operations on the product on day to day basis
    • Interact with functional and technical representatives of project teams in order to understand business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanism and data sources.
    • Contribute towards recruitment efforts - both for the team as well as for the organization
    • Contribute towards innovation; suggest new practices for efficiency improvement.
    • Perform appraisals for the BA Team and look after their career growth
    Technical & Behavioral Competencies Mandatory Skills:
    • Proven Experience as a Project Manager cum Business Analyst in an IT industry in the Capital Markets / Finance domain. Experience of Leading small to medium size teams.
    • Self-motivated, Good communication, good interpersonal skills and co-ordination activities, self-motivated, and inclination to constantly upgrade on new developments in the industry.
    • Experience of leading business analyst teams with onshore /offshore setup
    • Knowledge of Capital Market activities, Financial Products, Financial Terminologies is a must.
    • Good SQL Query writing skills, unix and shell scripting knowledge
    • Understanding of Trade Life Cycle
    • Understanding & Knowledge of Swift MT Messages
    • Thorough understanding of complete Software Development Lifecycle
    • Capability to understand and analyze complex IT application and financial product structures
    • Excellent documentation and presentation capability.
    • Strong skills on System analysis and preparation of data mappings from upstream to downstream.
    Nice to have Skills:
    • Knowledge or Experience with Treasury functions, Cash Reconciliation and business processes.
    • Usage of SAP Business Objects from User perspective
    • Well versed with all Agile ceremonies
    • Knowledge of DevOps
