This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesOverviewRRSD Unit faces the Group Risk Function with a peripheral support to CEO CIB Function. It handles wide spectrum of activities to support the Enterprise Risk Analytics, Traded Risk Management, Risk & Compliance Reporting teams of the Group Risk. The unit is also currently expanding itself to support the CEO CIB Office with Credit Portfolio Management. Traded Risk Management:The Traded Risk Reporting team is responsible for the reporting, analytics and control of Traded Risk for the Financial Market (FM) trading books, across multiple asset classes including FX, Fixed Income, Interest Rates, Money Market, Equities, Credit and related derivatives. The is based in Singapore and the MI thus generated is used across Internal (Board Risk Committee Packs, Management Forums) and External (Regulators) stakeholders. The team is also responsible for BCBS 239 governance and risk reporting effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in accordance with BCBS 239 governance and risk reporting responsibilities
  • Actively drive the implementation of validation and effectiveness review for BCBS 239 activities in business-as-usual (BAU) reporting processes and assist the transition of key governance activities from programme-mode to BAU mode in an effective and sustainable manner
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters related to BCBS 239 governance
  • Coach and assist BAU stakeholders, which includes defining responsibilities and design of validation and effectiveness review mechanism for each BCBS 239 activity or evidence of compliance
  • Design and monitor the implementation of the validation and effectiveness review approach for BCBS 239 activities to measure ongoing compliance with BCBS 239

  • To hold assigned roles of First Aider / Fire Warden / ADCC as appropriate and discharge the expected responsibilities.
Our Ideal CandidateKnowledge, skills and experience:
  • Acute awareness and understanding of the Group s risk strategy and frameworks appropriate to the role
  • Acute awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework (specifically BCBS 239) in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Strong analytical and writing skills necessary for developing the validation and effectiveness review approach to measure ongoing compliance with BCBS 239 with a view to adopting or establishing industry best practices
  • Strong understanding of concepts with respect to development of validation and effectiveness review mechanisms, coupled with good understanding of market risk knowledge (preferably in risk reporting or risk management), process control, monitoring mechanisms and operational risk in the financial services industry is essential
  • Good judgement and ability to actively prioritise a complex set of existing and new initiatives to achieve results
  • Self-motivated person with strong stakeholder management skills, a high level of personal responsibility and a desire to excel consistently
  • Strong decision-making skills with an attention to detail
  • A process-driven and disciplined approach working within the Bank s governance structures and standards to produce high-quality deliverables to the agreed timetable.
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders through the negotiation of scope and competing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for this role.
