Job Description

    The talent is expected to select and recommend the best of content for Star International business both across home and world library - for linear feeds and int l VOD platforms. The talent must have a deep understanding of consumer preferences and ability to understand what kind of content would appeal most to viewers globally dramas (scripted and non-scripted), movies, events, etc.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Work collaboratively with Star India/Star Plus/S.Bharat programming, marketing, technical & ops team to view, evaluate & plan the best of Star library content available for linear and VOD service
    • Plan & package the best of Star library content appropriately for best audience response
    • Amend, edit and/or package content according to International requirements and S&P feedback
    • Work with partners (Prime Focus Technologies, Arqiva, international production units) to ensure the best of content is available seamlessly to linear and VOD platforms, particularly Sky, without any difficulty & on time
    • Monitor and manage English channels (say Star World) with suitable content replacements for non-rights cleared content in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc markets.
    • Manage schedules to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Work alongside team across other functions to grow International business viewership / revenues.
    PERFORMANCE MEASURES
    • Increase viewer sampling of new content recommended. Grow viewership and slot share by min. 20%.
    • Adept partner relationship management leading to seamless content flow.
    QUALIFICATION
    • Minimum Qualification: MBA or Post Graduate
    • Total of about 7-8 years of experience in creative function; very good understanding of consumers and various types of Indian and International content dramas, movies, events, etc.
    • Preferably with television exposure
    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and content.
    • Leverages relationships & is a capable networker.
    • Should be adept at MS- Office tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Effective communicator in English and Hindi language
