1. Mechanical design of HVAC systems 2. Business Development 3. IMS, Business Excellence and Kaizen1. Estimating HVAC load, selection of equipment, space planning, selection of air inlets / outlets, duct and pipe sizing, hourly load calculations (HAP) 2. Preparing riser diagram for piping, ducting, equipment schedules, mechanical plant room layout 3. Proficiency in Design of mechanical (HVAC systems) building service for Commercial, Hospitality projects 4. Ensuring project connected electrical loads for mechanical plant equipment, demarcation of scope between HVAC and other disciplines of architectural, electrical, structural, civil, plumbing, fire protection and building automation / management system; defining sequence of operation and integration requirement, developing cause/effect matrix 5. Working knowledge of SMACNA, ARI, NFPA standards for ducting, equipment and HVAC systems respectively 6. Producing standard details for construction and installation 7. Using product data for plant room layouts and providing sketches / details to CAD technicians 8. Coordinating with other disciplines for service and maintenance space, access, interfacing 9. Producing schematic, design development and construction documentation (tender package) for HVAC works. Ensuring Bill of Quantities, specifications, cost estimate 10. Reviewing of material submittals, shop drawings, site coordination 11. Business development by relationship building with related stakeholders. 12. Working knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE standards, National Building Code, ECBC codes, statutory local requirements, green building standards
