Job Description

Dear Candidate,Greetings fromGolden Opportunities !Role : AM / Manager -Nurse annotation

  • Role will first involve being an IC - writing the medical summaryannotation part and than elevate to handling team supervisory role very soon
  • Looking for qualified registered nurses to help with file annotations. A long-term disability claim that needs a clinical review/analysis on the claimants capacity is requested by disability claim manager (DCM) within the disability claim management system (DCMS).
  • This request is held in queue within the General LTD Clinicians or Ortho Clinicians team under the Global Int (global intervention) tab.
  • The DCM will also ask specific questions for the Clinician on limitationsand restriction that will impact functional capacity and potential for return to work (RTW).
  • A Clinician will choose a claim from the General LTD Clinicians or Ortho Clinicians inventory and review all prior information on the claim.
  • This will include a review of correspondences including medical records other physician notes,physician statements ,capacity questionnairesetc. to make an opinion on claimants current functional capacity.
  • The Clinician will review the indexed informationanalyze it and provides an opinion on the claimants capacity and questions raised by the DCM.
  • Offshore procedure of indexing and annotating:
  • Offshore resource Registered Nurses will choose a claim from the list provided by the client.
  • The Claim number is put in the DCMS claim number field. This pulls in demographic and brief details of the claimant
  • Then the Registered Nurse must click on Chron (Chronology) to read the details on all activity type (SOAP,Correspondences ,TelephoneRecalcMedical RequestsStatus ChangeOther Events and Par Dis/ RTW)
  • The Registered Nurse clicks on clear and then populates the activity Correspondence. This will show all the correspondences that the Registered Nurse has to look into for indexing and annotation.
  • All correspondences with medical information are to be indexed and annotated in the Indexing Template
  • A complete indexed file should have captured all date of services in chronological orderthe type of visit to the health providername and specialty of the health provider,date the record was scannedtotal number of pages received on that scanned datestarting page number from where the information is picked and last but not the least annotate the medical information from the records
  • The annotated indexed file should provide information on the functional capacity of the claimant as per the medical records
Candidate Specification :
  • Qualifications :Registered Nurse
  • Registered Nurse- Assuming RN has proper clinical exposure/experience with Medical Records and Medical Terminology during their schooling/training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products: WordExcel
  • Documentation/Typing Skills
  • Open to working in US Shifts
