Job Description

PrincipalAccountabilities:Scheme CashManagement:Cash management of the schemes of Mutual Fund, monitoring andreporting of cash to various stakeholdersRedemption, Subscription, Purchase Refund, Dividend Funding, Switches,Sweep Dividend processing affecting cashflowControl over the Margin maintenance for each type of securityRegulatory expense payment control maintaining a control over all schemeexpenses paymentLiaising with Dealers, Fund managers, Registrar operations team, Custodian,Professional Clearing Member (PCM), Stock exchangesReconciliation review and a strong bank account controlLiaising with the Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors and SEBI Auditorspertaining to respective functionImplementation of new projects and changes brought because ofregulatory or business requirement.Support all new initiatives including system developmentBenchmarking similar industry practices and work towards implementationof best practiseIdentifying risk and implementing effective controls for various cashprocessesTrade Settlement:Understanding and executing trade settlement of all trades in Equity, Gold,SLR, Non SLR Securities and Money MarketMonitor the trade exception and to put efficient checks and control fortimely detection the error/deviation to ensure proper reconciliation of dataCorporate Action executionNew Broker empanelment and annual review controlsGaining knowledge about and managing back office processes in frontoffice system BLOOMBERG AIMSControl over outstanding position in various systems and regular reviewand of the same.Knowledge, ExperienceKnowledge of securities market mechanism, operations, or Fund Accounting oflocal FundsMS office with special expertise in Excel, Bloomberg, and other related softwareCompetenciesGood communication & Interpersonal skills.High degree of integrityAbility to work autonomously but know when to escalate.Ability to perform under pressureResourcefulness and ability to use initiativeCommercial approachAttributesTo have an eye for detail is very important criteria.Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and external partiesPreferred IndustryExperienceIdeally the candidate should have experience in the mutual fund space thoughnot a pre-condition.If not from mutual fund space, the candidate could be drawn from the financialservices space including insurance, commercial & investment banks, non-banking finance companies.Internal ContactsFund ManagementInternal Team -Treasury Settlement and Cash ManagementBanking OperationsFinanceComplianceExternal ContactsBankers & CustodianClearing membersStock exchangesClearing Corporations
