Job Description

  • Ideal candidate must be an SRE Engineer with proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams with 8+ years of relevant experience. With a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • He/she must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position.
  • Must be a confident self-starter with ability to collaborate and devise solutions. Relevant industry certifications are an added plus.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks is required. Strong foundational knowledge on object-oriented analysis and design, with hands-on skills in Java / J2EE
  • Working knowledge of one or more of services like Spring Boot, Jboss Fuse, Active MQ, Apache Camel, Tomcat,
  • Hands-on knowledge in Oracle,KDB
  • Application performance tuning, application performance analysis and tuning, analysing performance metrics
  • Hands-on experience on Linux/Unix environments

  • Independently contribute to Maintain, Enhance and Develop existing applications
  • Improve code quality statistics, participate/drive code reviews and continuously reduce technical debt
  • Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies

  • Daily tasks include providing Level2/Level 3 support to these environments. This means solving incidents and problems and applying changes according to the defined process
  • Passion to drive automation with an objective to eliminate toil. Should have proven deliverables on successful automation use cases

  • Build a transparent and collaborative culture in which incentives are based on support of Client Income with specific performance metrics on the Banks values Web services, API design, Defining Specification using swagger/RAML.
  • To work in partnership with teams across and ensure that the flow trading product is value additive for clients and the bank

  • Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to Risk Committees

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Substantial experience in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Must possess sharp business acumen (including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return), excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed and highly varied stakeholders
  • Should be an SRE engineer.
Preferred competencies:
  • Dev Ops Tools and CI/CD Processes Maven, GIT, BitBucket, Junit, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence
  • Web services, API design, Defining Specification using swagger/RAML.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Good to have experience in containerization technologies - Docker, Kubernetes
  • Good to have experience in ProC language
  • Experience with automated test configuration
