This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesThe individual is expected to:

  • Design and implement solutions to optimize various calculation/reporting processes.
  • Proven track record of using Rapid Application Development (RAD) programming techniques to design, develop and implement end-to-end tactical solutions for finance.
  • Undertake continuous improvement of the current systems and infrastructure
  • Improve the efficiency of the calculation processes and reduce code maintenance overheads.
  • Work with the individual VC asset groups to understand their requirements.
  • Providing assistance and technical support to the various Valuation Control reporting teams
  • Document the related IT policies and procedures.
  • Experience in end to end automation of labour intensive manual processes to drive efficiencies, improve controls and generate FTE savings.
  • Advance knowledge in programming languages like Python, C++ and of MS Excel (VBA Programming) is essential. Technical knowledge of Haskell will be an added advantage.
  • Database development and maintenance: SQL Server
  • Strong control awareness.
  • Good communication and articulation skills.
  • Liaising with different stakeholders like IT, Operation and respective financial controllers
  • Undertake continuous improvement of the current systems and Infrastructure.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a top tier university or Equivalent Experience
  • 4+ years of professional programming experience. Python experience preferred.
  • Work related experience using a functional language . Alternatively strong interest on functional programming will also be considered
  • Ability to learn and become a full stack developer on web based Django Framework .
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • The ability to write efficient, clear code and to articulate what has been implemented and why is essential.
  • Rapid application development style of work experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of market data in financial markets or financial knowledge is desirable
  • Experience of Market data providers including Reuters, Bloomberg, Markit etc is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally for understanding requirements and showcasing implementations.
  • Preferred skills : Python,Django, SQL Server , HTML/CSS/Javascript, Power BI
