The Sourcing Manager in this role will perform the following responsibilities:- Support and assist senior sourcing managers in executing complex sourcing deals.- Manage a global pipeline of low to medium complexity sourcing projects with a primary focus on software and software maintenance with the intent to grow into more complex sourcing- As required, monitor vendor performance and manage ongoing vendor relationships, including conformity to contract terms, resolution of payment disputes and activity related to critical dates (extensions, renewals, price adjustments, etc.)- Partner with MS Business Units and Technology stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies that generate savings, optimize total cost of ownership, improve supplier performance, and reduce risk within the category- Leveraging various resources (e.g. benchmarking/advisory companies, professional associations) and using RFIs, RFPs and/or eAuctions effectively- Negotiate NDAs, trial agreements, master agreements, amendments, addendums and maintenance renewals with vendors for different software licensing and delivery models (e.g. on-premise vs cloud, perpetual vs term). Act as the liaison across all process stakeholders including Business Management, Legal, Supplier Risk Management, Contract Administration and Procurement Operations.- Prepare supporting documentation for sourcing projects- Comply with, and complete in a timely manner all due diligence and approval tasks required in conjunction with Technology to enable contract execution- Prepare purchase order requests where applicable- Act as an advocate and a trusted advisor to business and technology colleagues, *The successful candidate will work within the global IT Sourcing organization on the BU Application Sourcing Team, primarily supporting the institutional side of our business. The ideal candidate should have knowledge/experience of the following:- IT Software Sourcing, including cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and analytics categories- Experience working directly with stakeholders at all seniority levels- Strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to embracing the culture of both Morgan Stanley and the IT Sourcing team- Experience working with legal and suppliers negotiating contracts, to include contract analysis and drafting- Ability to work independently and manage a complex workload- Attention to detail- High energy and enthusiasm- Be coachable and willing to learn- Excellent analytical and communication skills- Minimum 1- 3 years of experience- Bachelor s degree- Experience with enterprise procurement toolsets a plus
