As you work to make a real impact on the business and the world, we ll work to help you become a better you.We are looking to hire a Marketing Manager based in Mumbai HOProfessional cleaning business:The global business for cleaning products in professional setup (Horeca, Offices, hospitals etc.) is estimated at $30B and is growing because of urbanization, rising middle class, growing service industries and increasing delegation of cleaning chores to professionals like launderettes. The market is fragmented with players like Diversey and other minor players. The ready to use market for professionals is estimated at about $8B globally and is a key growing market in India, though currently largely unorganised and fragmented.Target customer and their needs:Our target customers are the small and medium sized operators of Horeca, education, healthcare, laundry services, factories and building service contractors who have passion for food, service, entertainment, education etc. Cleaning is necessary but not the main part of their operations hence it must be hassle free. They want to maintain the hygiene standards and safety in their premises to ensure a positive experience for their guests or workers but are not always aware of the regulations and standards. They trust consumer brands like Vim and Surf from personal experience. The big hotel chains and service providers using full service dilution systems are not our target.Home care professional:We want to create a sustainable professional business for Unilever. Our estimate is that the current market in the segments of interest to us as outlined above and is estimated at a size of 80 Mln E is quite under valued. Our intention would be to have a 10% share of this (better defined market estimates of this market size, go up to 350 Mln E) in the next 3 years.Designing for channel is one of the five fundamentals of growth for 2020 within Unilever and hence of very high strategic importance in Home care division and UnileverHome care Professional business is a dedicated cleaning and hygiene partner for institutional customers. Our convenient, ready-to-use range is designed to meet the demands of restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, offices, schools, manufacturing sites and other establishments. Unique in their value proposition and distinct from retail products, Home care Professional products are engineered to meet specific business needs.To this end there will be a dedicated Home care Professional team which will create its own identity, create and manage a clearly differentiated portfolio that while servicing the professional customers need does not confuse the current large retail consumer base and establish a route to market that does not conflict with the Tram of the existing retail business. The business unit will also create its own branding and communication platforms and route to market as appropriate.Home care professional lets operators focus on their core business while taking care of their cleaning needs. Trusted brand equities like Vim, Surf will provide a superior product portfolio that is designed for professional operator needs (e.g. Low hedonics vs retail, low foam, no enzymes for 90 degree wash etc.). This allows operators to do cleaning that is efficacious, efficient, economic and safe. This saves time, money and effort besides helping in maintaining the safety and hygiene standards for operators. Also in consideration would be bespoke mixes for operators who are perhaps concerned about the harmful impact of chemicals and worker safety but cannot compromise on performance or cost. The key segments of focus will be Kitchen, specialist surfaces, floors, toilets, dishes and clothes which are also our strengths in retail. Ready to use and semi-automatic dilution systems will be in scope. Operators will be largely targeted thorough both digital and offline solutions using principles of digital consumer marketing but in the B2B space.Job definition:The Marketing Manager and his team s role will be to build and drive the Home care Professional business in India. They will lead portfolio development, deployment of brand identity, innovation and marketing communication materials and models including digital solutions for professional operators. The team will connect with the global Unilever team of Home Care Professionals and work as a network leveraging the global expertise and experience ensure best practices are shared, customer insights are leveraged, and new innovation and business models are driven in the market. The team will also work with the Diversey marketing team.The successful candidate will have a high bias for action, deep passion for doing something exceptional, openness to new ideas and approaches, willingness to work with the team to make an impact on the market and a sense of responsibility, measuring performance by results.The role will interface with Diversey, Global marketing teams, Business Development, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D teams and the central design for channel teams.JOB SUMMARY:

  • Country lead to develop the Professional portfolio, communication, innovation and business models
  • Lead the strategic roadmap for Professional business in India by building insights and have a point of view on this business in the next 5-10 years.
  • Responsible for Marketing activity calendar and in-market deployment
  • Work closely with functional teams and Diversey to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery of all key strategic projects across Home Care brands
  • Create marketing content for offline and online medium.
  • Develop e-commerce assets following Unilever guidelines
  • Support Business Development team with sales supporting materials (e.g. Product Information Sheets, selling decks, etc.)KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Marketing experience in B2B (ideally) and/or B2C
  • Solid in-market deployment experience
  • Strong track record in project management & delivery
  • Detail oriented, well organized
  • Bias for action, fast moving
  • Being persistent, patient and open
  • Focus on continuous learning
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and ask the question why not
  • Willingness to engage in robust discussions and air your own point of view
