Job Description

Responsibilities includes:

  • Serving primary Medical Affairs contact
  • Develops and maintains professional scientific relationships in areas critical to Terumo Penpol with thought leaders in key hospitals and blood centres
  • Maintaining expert knowledge and understanding of clinical, scientific, and technical information in areas critical to Terumo Penpol by attending relevant symposia, scientific workshops, CMEs
  • Review of key journals for internal and external purposes.
  • Providing expert medical/scientific advice (verbal, written or electronic inquiries) for therapeutic areas, including responding to requests for scientific/technical information
  • Establishing and maintaining professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centres
  • Delivery of scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions etc.), where requested
  • Providing medical/scientific input into marketing strategy and key commercial initiatives, as required
  • Working with the commercial teams and product marketing, providing medical input as needed on product innovation and unmet medical needs.
  • Ensuring timely submissions of periodic report forms for Terumo BCT-supported investigator-initiated or collaborative studies
  • Monitoring the environment for competitive intelligence and communicate, where appropriate, within the Company
  • Working with customers to help them with data abstraction and publication of clinical, scientific or operational data related to Terumo BCT products.
  • Leading key trade show/symposia and internal meetings on behalf of Medical Affairs.
  • Leading special assignments or special projects on behalf of Medical Affairs and acts as a leader for cross-functional teams.
  • Reporting post event summaries of medical insights to internal stakeholders.
Required Candidate profile
  • Experience with in hematology/blood banking/transfusion medicine
  • Time management, team-working skills, stress-resistant
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Communication skills, problem-solving skills, creative thinking
  • Able to work with strategic functions within and outside Medical Affairs
