Murex Functional Support Consultant

Project Description A large Indian Bank has engaged Excelian for proving Murex BAU Support (L2/ L3), enhancement development services. We are looking to onboard a team of 4 consultants who should be able to cover Front to Back modules of Murex. Excelian team will be working like leads for managing Murex BAU with assistance from banks internal team. Excelian resources will be covering all the aspects of BAU from Murex application perspective ranging from Front office, Workflow, Interface, VaR, MLC, Accounting, Liquidation, Market Data Interface, Reporting, Technical support and Non- Prod Environment management. The team will be working on enhancements, change requests and providing L2/ L3 support for Production issues Responsibilities 1st Level of Escalation Contact for Business Issues PL queries Trade Entry/ Valuation/ Validation - Issues Best Practices Simulation. Risk Matrices Viewer Pricing / E- tradepad Market Operations Instrument configuration support Front office work- flows Support related to front office static data creation Support related to user access rights configuration and user management Review Implement business changes Murex Application Responsibility: 1. Has strong analytical and problem solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with business users and the vendor 2. Works closely with FO users in the management and resolution of any system issues that arise 3. Works closely with FO users in understanding requirements to enhance existing functionality 4. Often works individually in resolving issues, and in coming up with and delivering solutions that meet FO requirements 5. Analyses and resolves issues related to system configuration, pricing, PL, sensitivities, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, etc 6. Liaises with the technical support team, with other business support teams, and with the Murex vendor where and when required 7. Escalates identified issues / risks in a timely manner to IT and Business managers 8. Provides detailed information about issues to the vendor, and co- ordinates with them in testing fixes / solutions 9. Acts as an intermediary between business and vendor 10. Performs routine administrative / technical tasks to appropriately maintain the system 11. Works on small BAU projects to deliver extended functionality and enhancements to the FO users, and is familiar with the systems development life cycle 12. Is able to assist in resolving issues around general system configuration, User Groups, Access Rights, Portfolios, etc 13. Provides training to business users and assists the business in adapting to the Murex environment 14. Prepares and sends effective periodic / timely status reports to IT / Business managers 15. Ensures documentation and deliverables are consistent with defined standards 16. Has the ability to work under pressure to resolve critical issues and meet project deliverables Skills Must Must Mandatory Skills: 2+ years of relevant experience 1. Strong hands- on knowledge of FO configuration - instruments, generators, curves, market data , market conventions, etc 2. Strong knowledge of FO modules - Simulation screens, Simulation Viewer, eTradepad, PL notepad, market operations, etc 3. Strong knowledge of how to analyse PL, sensitivity, risk issues within Murex 4. Knowledge of organization setup and User Groups / Access Rights Domain knowledge : Should possess an understanding of financial markets Strong understanding of FX FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities Desired Skills: 1. Working level knowledge around Unix Oracle 2. Familiarity with market data providers such as Reuters and Bloomberg 3. Familiarity with Murex application directory and data model 4. Good knowledge of excel and VBA Soft Skills: - Good knowledge of the Indian Banking Treasury space and risk management practices - Excellent communication, inter- personal skills and problem solving skill - Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in a production support team including end users and technology team - Self driven with the ability to work in a challenging environment Nice to have Nice to have Nice to Have: Technical Support Non- Prod Environment Management Deeper all- round knowledge of the Murex application and having Front to Back Murex support experience Languages English: Intermediate If needed, we can help you with relocation process.
