Job Description

Network Engineer - 82742Gracenote - India Mumbai, MaharashtraABOUT THIS JOBYou will be part of a Network Engineering team performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurationsRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., Firewall, Switches, routers,VPN, QoS)
  • Maintaining LAN, WLAN and architecture of the server as per the business policy
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company s security team
  • As a precautionary measure, analyze and implement new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threat or malfunctions
  • Resolving the existing security issue including hardware malfunctions
  • Reporting the security analysis of findings
  • Investigations of Security breach alert
  • Developing the security authentication protocol
  • Knowledge of performing routing protocols (MPLS, HAIPE/IP, QOS and WAN)
  • Maintaining server and switches
  • Maintaining & implementation of the SOP for Network security
  • Recommend modifications in legal, technical and regulatory areas that affect IT security.
  • Monitoring of web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, endpoint security
  • Hands on Microsoft/ Linux / Mac OS
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with PaloAlto Firewall
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Meraki
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including firewall, wireless access points, Switches, routers.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation.
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.
